There's no greater enemy for a transmission than heat. Whether your 2003-2009 Dodge Ram 5.9L/6.7L Cummins is a dedicated tow vehicle, hardworking fleet truck, or a daily driver with a liking for the drag-strip, you need to ensure that your transmission runs cool. Luckily, Mishimoto has developed a direct-fit transmission cooler to do just that. Our 2003-2009 Dodge Ram 5.9L/6.7L Cummins transmission cooler utilizes a stacked plate core for durable and powerful cooling. With a massive 212% greater core volume and 244% increase in fluid capacity, this trans cooler is a huge improvement over stock 2003-2009 Dodge Ram 5.9L / 6.7L Cummins transmission cooler.

The Mishimoto transmission cooler is not only larger than the stock cooler, but more reliable too. When the stock cooler's thermostat fails, it fails closed, bypassing the cooler and returning hot fluid to the transmission. Mishimoto has solved this common issue by making the thermostat in our 2003-2009 Dodge Ram Cummins transmission cooler fully serviceable and easily bypassed for constant cooling. A port located at the top of the cooler provides easy access to the thermostat for servicing in just a few minutes. Replacement thermostats can be purchased individually if needed; no more replacing the entire cooler if the thermostat fails. Owners in cold climates can still enjoy the fast warmup times that the thermostat provides, while owners in hot climates can choose to bypass the thermostat by replacing it with the supplied stainless-steel bypass plug.

To make this cooler even easier to install and service, Mishimoto saves you the hassle of removing seized fittings. The provided CNC-machined, stainless steel hose barb fittings let you cut to the chase, literally. These fittings and the supplied transmission cooler hose allow you to remove the quick-disconnect fittings and connect the stock soft-line to the Mishimoto cooler.

Like all Mishimoto products, this transmission cooler is backed up by our Lifetime Warranty with Accident Protection for worry free cooling as long as you own it.

Who you are buying from

You are buying from a drift team, not a warehouse.

Our founder competes himself in his own drift E46. Our team build and race the same platforms you drive and work on, and our sponsored drivers chase championships on the same parts we sell worldwide.

01

We have already broken it for you.

Our founder, a full team of sponsored drivers, and hundreds of other drivers worldwide are out competing on this stuff in drift and rally. When we tell you a part is good, the part is good. It has already been put to the test.

“After trying a few better known brands such as Tilton and Extreme, and never being super happy... Conor was able to recommend me the perfect clutch for my application... I havn't broken any drivetrain parts since I installed it.”

Connell O'Kane, 2JZ drift car, 27 Jul 2024

02

Tell us the car. We will spec it.

Chassis codes, spring rates, angle kit clearances, clutch ratings. Send us the car and what you want it to do. The answer comes from someone who has run that setup, not someone reading a product sheet.

“Conor is a top man very helpful and always replies to any questions you have about his products.”

Straight answers

The questions you were about to open a chat about.

How do I know it will fit my car?

Send us your chassis code or your reg in the chat and we will confirm before you spend anything. If you order and it turns out to be the wrong part, we swap it.

“Had a mix up with the item description (order wrong part) they was quick to email me and see what part I was meant to order and substituted it for no extra cost!”
Bradley Page, verified customer, 31 Jan 2025

When will it actually arrive?

In stock and ordered before 1pm, it leaves the same day. UK and Ireland is usually next day, occasionally 1 to 3 days. Europe 1 to 5 days, rest of world 3 to 5 days on express.

If something is not in stock, we will email you right away with an ETA and any available substitutes. On the rare occasion it does not work out, we will happily refund your order.

Will I get stung for customs or import VAT?

No. The price you pay on our website is what it will cost to be delivered to your door. You will not receive any surprise surcharges after ordering.

What if I change my mind?

30 days on all stock items, full refund on the parts. If you ordered the wrong thing we will help you get to the right one for as little money as possible. We have been there.

What warranty do I get?

Everything on our website is covered by the standard manufacturer's warranty.

If you ever need to claim, we fight your corner. We will do everything in our power to make sure you are looked after, rather than leaving you to argue with a manufacturer on your own.

Can I pay it off over a few months?

Yes. Klarna and Shop Pay Finance are both at checkout, so you can spread it without putting the build on hold.

Can I just ask someone what to buy?

That is the bit we are actually good at. We run our own race team and workshop, so you are talking to someone who has fitted it, broken it, and fitted it again. Hit the chat and tell us what the car is doing and what you want it to do.
